Okeene defeats Ringwood on first night in new gym, Lady Whippets top Pioneer

On the Thursday before students got out for Christmas Break, the Okeene Whippets were able to debut their new gym with a 52-34 victory over Ringwood. However, the Lady Whippets did not compete on that night due to Ringwood having their entire team in quarantine.

They did return to the court last Saturday as the two teams hosted Pioneer-Pleasant Vale. Against the Lady Mustangs, Okeene was able to grab a 50-37 victory in their return to action, while the boys fell 56-48.

In the Lady Whippets win over Pioneer, neither team got off to a particularly fast start. Still, it was Okeene grabbing a 10-5 advantage after a quarter of play, and the Lady Whippets would not relinquish the lead from that point on.
