With NFL Draft approaching this week, Hurts’ story of success set for a new chapter

Despite the majority of the sports world being shutdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the unique structure of the NFL Draft will allow the event to go on as scheduled, with a virtual version of the typical process being implemented by the league office. For one particular Sooner, he’s got high expectations to fill, not only in this weekend’s draft, but moving forward as a possible face of the franchise.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts will not be drafted with the first-overall pick the way Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray have done in successive years, and is more likely to hear his name called Friday in the third round or even early on Saturday. Still, there are plenty of teams excited about the possible addition of Heisman runner-up to their roster.
