The Canton Junior High basketball teams kicked off their season with a threeday tournament at Lomega last week. The teams also took on Geary on Tuesday as the Lady Tigers won three of their four games, and the boys failed to collect their first victory.

The girls kicked things off with Hennessey on the opening day of the tournament last Monday. Canton grabbed an early lead on the Lady Eagles, but Hennessey countered with a big second quarter to take narrow the advantage to only two at the break.
