Canton finishes off rough week vs. ranked foes
Last week was as rough as it was busy for the Canton High School basketball teams who each played three road games following the conclusion of their tournament.
After wrapping up the final round of the Gayle Hajny Invitational on Monday, Canton traveled to Hydro-Eakly, Covington-Douglas and Seiling over the week. To make matters worse, each team would face two opponents ranked in the Top 20 in the class, and it showed as the girls won one of three, and the boys went winless.
Tuesday night paired Canton with Hydro-Eakly, and the girls led off against the No. 5 Lady Bobcats. The Lady Tigers struggled right out of the gate, scoring only three points in the first quarter thanks to a shot beyond the arc from Haylee Nusz.
