Canton showers compete in Blaine County Stock Show

The 4-H and FFA members of Canton High School traveled to Watonga on Feb. 16 and 17 for the Blaine County Junior Livestock Show, where they joined students from Geary, Watonga, and Okeene in showing off their livestock.

Starting with beef, Claire Elder’s Class I Continental Charolais won Breed Champion, while Nate Lang showed a pair of Continental Simmentals that won Class II and Class III of the Breed. That duo would later be named Breed Champion and Reserve Champion, with his Class II also being named Grand Champion Continental Heifer. Elder’s Charolais would take home Reserve Grand Champion Continental Heifer.
