Dobrinski sworn in to State House position
Representative Mike Dobrinski, R-Okeene, was sworn in last week to his position in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, representing Oklahoma House District 59.
Dobrinski will serve in the 101 member House of Representatives during unprecedented times as the majority Republican caucus holds an 82-19 majority, the largest in state history.
Dobrinski’s swearing in ceremony took place in the House chamber as required under law, but it was a nontraditional swearing in ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the construction being performed at the State Capitol. Groups of lawmakers were ushered in to be sworn in instead of the entire House.
For Dobrinski, the solemn event was even more significant after the passing of his late father, George Dobrinski, days before his swearing in.
