With NFL Draft approaching this week, Hurts’ story of success set for a new chapter

Despite the majority of the sports world being shutdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the unique structure of the NFL Draft will allow the event to go on as scheduled, with a virtual version of the typical process being implemented by the league office. For one particular Sooner, he’s got high expectations to fill, not only in this weekend’s draft, but moving forward as a possible face of the franchise.

With the cancellation of all spring sports by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association in response to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, senior Josh Edwards will now miss out on his final opportunity to compete for the Canton Tigers. While Edwards has been one of Canton’s top performers on the football field and basketball court throughout his high school career, 2019 was his first year to qualify for the State Meet in track.

For Canton’s Claysen Scott, that also means he won’t get an opportunity to return to the State Meet in track.
