Youthful Tigers earn fourth place at Ringwood

The Canton fifth and sixth graders traveled to Ringwood last Monday for their only track meet of the week, where the boys and girls each finished in fourth place at the event. While the girls scored 54 points in their effort on Monday, the boys put up 56 of their own.

Imiyah Littlejohn had a big meet for the Lady Tigers. She won the 100-meter hurdles, while also playing a key role on the 400-meter relay team that finished fourth and the 800-meter relay team that finished second.

Aletheia McIntosh also competed in the 100-meter hurdles, where her time of 20.81 was .04 seconds shy of the second-place performer. Still, her thirdplace finish helped earn six points towards the team effort.

Claire Elder also earned points for the team with her fifth-place finish in the mile run. Her time of 7:14 produced two points to the team effort.
