With the new school year now in session, Canton welcomes Jason Wallace as the new principal and athletic director. While academics will be his top priority, Wallace sited school pride, community involvement and the possibility of adding new sports programs as initial goals he has set for his new role as head of Canton’s athletics.

Wallace excited about role as athletic director
It’s been nearly a month since Jason Wallace was named the principal and athletic director of the Canton High School. With school now starting, Wallace will get his first taste of both positions, and while he certainly has a lot on his plate as principal, the duties as athletic director will be plentiful as well.
After starting his career as an engineer, Wallace gained all of his administrative experience at Chisholm Trail Technology Center. There, he not only worked as an instructor, but also as an assistant principal for the 2018-2019 school year. Still, this while the logical next step in his career was to become a principal, the idea of being the athletic director is just starting to sink in for him.
