During their careers at Canton, Jared Cox (11) and Josh Edwards (0) were two of Canton’s most versatile players. Both could handle the ball, shoot from the perimeter, get their hands on passes and rebound against bigger opponents.
Special group of seniors leave legacy on hardwood
The Canton High School basketball boys had high hopes of reaching the Area Round, or even the State Tournament this past season, they were eliminated on the second day of the Regional Bracket for the second-straight year. Still, Canton was led by an extraordinary group of seniors that produced double-digit win totals each of the last three seasons for the first time in recent memory.
In fact, the senior group that included Claysen Scott, Josh Edwards, Jared Cox and Shy Cauble, who played together all four years, not only collected 47 wins in their four seasons, but also two winning seasons, which is two more than Canton has had since dating back at least 15 years.
