Defense, experience focus for Lady Tigers in team camp

The Canton Lady Tigers found themselves in familiar territory as they traveled to Arapaho-Butler for their first basketball team camp of the summer. It was around this time last season that Coach David Baldwin was in the position of having to replace his top two players from a team that won 19 games, and made it to the Area Round of the playoffs.

Fast forward to last week, and Baldwin and the Lady Tigers are coming off another season collecting 19 wins where they came up one win shy of returning to the third round, and now he is trying to figure out how to replace his top scorer in Roxy Linder, best shooter in Haylee Nusz, and his top rebounder in Jenny Delgado.

“You can say that we probably won’t win 19 games next year but a lot of people said that last year,” stated Baldwin. “Right now, we aren’t worried about that, we are just out here trying to get better.”
