Cheney’s buzzer-beater comes up just short in Enid

While most of the Canton Lady Tigers have stepped away from competing on the hardwood this summer, Aubrey and Ryleigh Cheney were competing in Enid at the Mid America Youth Basketball Tournament. The duo plays for the Oklahoma Aftershock, coached by Okeene’s Patrick Penner.

After dropping their first two contests of pool play, the Aftershock were able Oklahoma Hoops by a score of 23-16. That locked them in as the fourth seed in Sunday’s tournament. Still, after an opening round loss to the eventual champion, Team Price, the Aftershock would be in for a rematch.
