Canton had seven players noted on the B-1 All-District Football Teams, including each of their five captains, Jake Sinclair, Caden Koehn, Johnie Burton, Ethan Foster and Seth Bromlow. Freshman Luke Swartwood and sophomore Jacob Rutz were also named to the team for Canton after a 3-8 season.
Canton puts four Seniors on B-1 All-District Team
Following a 3-8 season that saw the Tigers start the season with a three-game winning streak for the first time since 2009, Canton saw a total of seven players honored on the B-1 All-District Football Team. Seniors Jake Sinclair, Seth Bromlow, Ethan Foster and Caden Koehn, as well as freshman Luke Swartwood, sophomore Jacob Rutz and junior Johnie Burton were all named to various district teams for their efforts this past fall.
Foster was named an All-District end after returning to football for the first time since he was in junior high. He caught eight passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns on offense.
The senior also tallied 46 tackles on defense, while recovering two fumbles. He had one interception on the season, and knocked a team-high four passes as a cornerback.
Sinclair was given honorable mention after an incredible season on both sides of the ball. On offense, the senior tight end led Canton with 26 receptions, 375 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns, while also running ten times for 91 yards.
