Canton drops second straight game in Waurika

Johnie Burton and the Canton offense had little success moving the ball against Waurika last Friday. Burton had three rushes for only five yards in the loss, but will need to help lead the Canton offense back to rhythm they had in the first month of the season when they were averaging 38 points a game.

Canton drops second straight game in Waurika

The Canton Tigers fell to 3-2 last Friday with a loss to the Waurika Eagles by a score of 46-0. Coach Caleb Howell and the Tigers have now lost two games in a row after starting the season with threestraight wins, but will head into district play with a winning record.

On Friday in Waurika, very little went right for the Tigers. The offense struggled to move the ball, racking up only 36 yards of total offense. Seth Bromlow gained ten yards on four runs in the contest, while also connecting on two of his three pass attempts for 26 yards.
