Canton and Mt. View combine for 108 points in season opener; Canton comes up short
The Canton Tigers dropped their opening game of the season to Mt. View-Gotebo last Friday in a 58-50 shootout. The game was Jeremy Brashears debut coaching for Canton, and while Coach Brashears is disappointed in the loss, there are certainly positives to take away from the contest.
“I thought we played hard,” said Brashears. “We were a lot more physical. We fought tooth and nail to the very end. That is the mark of a team that wants to win, and that is what we are going for.”
