Brickman couple brings hope for organic growth in western Oklahoma

the new medical doctor at Okeene Municipal Hospital. The Brickman’s met in high school at the First Baptist Church in Okeene, and the couple credits their trip to Falls Creek with Okeene FBC as the beginning of their relationship. Reese graduated from Okeene High School in 2005. Cayci graduated from Watonga High School in 2006. The couple took different paths after high school but their relationship endured through their college years and the couple married in 2012. Reese attended Oklahoma State University and majored in secondary education. Cayci attended the University of Oklahoma, completing her pre-med undergraduate degree, and then her doctorate in family medicine with residency in 2015

. The couple would start their careers beyond the familiarity of their small town upbringing but their hearts never drifted far from home. “We knew we wanted to live in a small town someday,” said Cayci. Cayci was being heavily recruited by Shelly Dunham, CEO of Okeene Municipal Hospital and the Okeene hospital board members. Reese had already started his career teaching science and coaching football and baseball at Putnam City High School. The couple moved to Ninety Six, South Carolina in 2015.
