Harvest: Coming Soon!
The Oklahoma State University Agricultural Extension Office has put out their estimate of this year’s wheat harvest. At this time 29-32 bushels of wheat per acre is expected, and canola is predicted to be around 20 bushels per acre.
According to OSU’s website the 2018 U.S. wheat production is predicted to be approximately 1.82 billion bushels. Harvest for 2017 in the U.S. produced 1.74 billion bushels with a fiveyear average of 2.05 billion bushels. Hard red winter wheat (HRW) is estimated to be 647 million bushels this year.
