Summer School Students visit Byron Hatchery WWA

Canton summer school students visited the Byron Hatchery and had a fun and educational start to the Walleye Rodeo. Byron Hatchery Watchable Wildlife Area (WWA) is a destination on the Great Plains Trail and showcases three different habitats in a 40-acre area.

Students learned about three of many species of fish that are hatched and transported to Canton Lake. Students learned about the Walleye, Hybrid Striped Bass and Catfish.
