Water Forum to be held in Fay on Oct. 24

Water is an essential requirement for life, especially in agricultural communities, and concerned citizens in Fay, OK are planning a Water Forum Thursday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. in the Fay Community Center gym to help area residents understand their water rights better and update them on current challenges facing water resources in our state.

The Sierra Club chose Fay as the location for this sponsored forum because of the unique challenges facing the area, including sand mines, oil & gas activity and agriculture, as well as the community’s past involvement in water issues as evidenced by the Town Hall meetings that have been held there in the past year and participation in water events at the state capital.
