Trump Acquitted Again
Former President Donald J. Trump was again acquitted by the U.S. Senate in a 57-43 vote from a single impeachment charge of “inciting an insurrection” passed by the U.S. House last January, just days before Trump was to leave office. It takes a two-thirds super majority (67) to convict an elected official of impeachment in the U.S. Senate.
