Summer Reading Program opens for summer
The Canton Public Library has started their Summer Reading Program for the summer. Children may check out five books at a time which can be kept for a period of two weeks before they are overdue. One Stop is sponsoring a free drink incentive again this summer for our young readers. A reading log will be kept and each time ten books are read, the reader will be given a coupon for a free soft drink at One Stop. Books must be read on the child’s reading level in school. Pre-school children may also be in the program if a parent or sibling reads their books to them. This will help them develop a lifetime love of books. The Summer Reading Program will continue until school begins in the fall. Prizes are awarded those with the most books read at the end of the program.
