Sanders Comments on Blaine County Transportation Projects
House Majority Leader Mike Sanders, R-Kingfisher, commented on two transportation projects in Blaine County awarded by the Oklahoma Transportation Commission at its May 4 meeting.
Bids on these projects were opened April 16. Contracts were awarded by the Commission at its May meeting, which was held virtually because of COVID-19 precautions.
The first project involves bridge water proofing and sealing on State Highways 8, 19, 30, 51 and 55 in several counties, including Blaine. The engineers estimate for the project is $91,565. The low bid of $90,090 by Gary A. Crain Inc. out of Prague was awarded. Other bids were $114,942.18 by Logos Construction LLC and $118,077.10 by JLT Contracting LLC. Built Right Construction LLC is a non-bidding plan holder. The project is scheduled to take 30 calendar days.
