ODVA providing transportation for rural Western OK Veterans
One of the biggest obstacles for veterans to receive proper medical care is transportation, especially in rural areas, but the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs (ODVA) is working hard to remove that obstacle in Western Oklahoma.
According to Steve Roblez, Program Administrator for the Rural Transportation Services at ODVA, free transportation services are available for all veterans in Western Oklahoma.
“The two biggest obstacles that veterans face in getting health care in rural areas are the lack of providers and transportation,” Roblez said. “This program aims to remove one of those obstacles.”
