The Okeene Lady Whippets put up a terrific showing in there games last week, including two in their hometown tournament. Okeene racked up victories against Canton and Waukomis to win the Okeene High School Invitational Tournament.

The Lady Whippets opened the tournament with a bye week after Geary backed out of the event earlier in the week. That lead to a Fridaynight contest with Canton Tigers in the semi-finals.

The two teams had already clashed once this season, with the Lady Tigers defeating the Okeene in the Consolation Title Game of Canton’s Gayle Hajny Tournament. Okeene had been without half of their players through most of that event, and had their sights set on a different outcome the second time around.
