Indian Road officially opens in Blaine County

Blaine County officials, State Rep. Mike Sanders and members of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes cut the ribbon to officially open Indian Road, or N2460 Road located just west of Canton, in a ceremony Thursday, Sept. 26.

The asphalt overlay project started four years ago, when former Blaine County Commissioner Jonathan Cross approached the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes with the idea.

“Jonathan started this a while back in September 2015. Without the tribe’s help, we never would have done this,” said Commissioner Brandon Schultz.
