Church raises money for mission trips, build project with Fall Festival

The Longdale Baptist Church hosted their second annual Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 5, which will help the church contribute to their Zimbabwe mission and build project.

The festival included games, inflatables, pumpkin painting, s’mores and a story telling the gospel of Jesus. The church sold chili, baked goods and homemade items to benefit the church’s projects.

Regan Killman has been a member of the church for about seven years and has been on two mission trips to Zimbabwe. The first year of the mission, Longdale Baptist Church members visited Zimbabwe to plant churches in villages, which didn’t have electricity or water. She said within the past five years, the mission has grown.

The church was picked up by the Central Baptist Association as an official mission trip for the association where members can visit twice a year to build churches, offer discipleship training and host conferences.
