Canton Schools make another run to pass bond
Canton Public Schools is making a second attempt to pass a bond issue after a previous issue did not pass earlier this year. The bond issue coming up on September 10 is for a $3.1 mil, 10-year bond that will be used for needed repairs and updates for the schools.
Written documents state the money will be used, “to construct, furnish, equip, and/or acquire a fieldhouse; to acquire and install poles, lights, light fixtures, and equipment, as needed; to construct, furnish, equip, and/or acquire a shop addition; to construct and/or acquire a new roof at the high school; to acquire and install fencing and playground equipment at the elementary school.”
