Blaine County Barn Quilt workshop offered Aug. 24

For anyone ready to create their own personal barn quilt, a workshop will be held, Saturday, August 24 starting at 10 am at the Blaine County Fairgrounds. The $45 workshop fee will cover all supplies and material to create a 2 ft x 2 ft barn quilt. Interested participants must register with the Blaine County OSU Extension Office at 623-5195 by Monday August 19 to reserve your space. Class size is limited to 20 so sign up right away to reserve your spot.

Barn Quilts are hand-painted copies of quilt squares displayed on farm structures, houses, fences or other buildings. Barn Quilts are found in many eastern states and starting to be seen in Oklahoma. Join this workshop to create your own quilt and hang it at your home or place of business. During the workshop, you will be able to select colors and patterns to match or enhance your chosen location. Blaine County is working to create a Barn Quilt trail, so join the fun at the Blaine County Fair and create your own masterpiece.
