51st Annual Walleye Rodeo on tap this weekend

Small towns can have just as much fun as big cities, and residents of local communities are gearing up for more fun on the heels of two others that just ended. Being from a bigger city, it’s hard to imagine that small towns can have so much fun to offer this time of the year.

Okeene’s Rattlesnake Hunt recently pulled up stakes for another year, and their Germanfest at The Corner ate, drank and danced its way through, finishing its festivities until next year as well. However, there’s no need for disappointment because Canton and Hennessey are gearing up for family fun of their own. This means that after the fun of being able to safely be within feet of venomous snakes, seeing a parade, attending a carnival with the kids, eating German food, watching people compete in an obstacle race while holding steins of beer and more, families get to pack the kids into the family car and head out again.
