This ceremonial check from the Rural Fire Defense Fund was deluged at the monthly Blaine County Chiefs meeting recently held at the Hitchcock Fire Department. Each of the Blaine Co Departments will receive $4,000. “This money goes a long way with our Volunteer Departments,” state representative Mike Sanders said. “I am so appreciative of these hero’s and what they do on a shoestring budget. These volunteers go above and beyond to save property and to save lives. I want to say thank you for what they do.”
