Canton native Danny Cavett has spent the past decade establishing a highly-acclaimed set of camps for children with medical issues.

Several Cavett Foundation campers had a chance to visit and get photographed with Oklahoma Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Baker Mayfield a couple of years ago.

The Foundation Ski Camp is the first event held each year in Colorado with 20 courageous cancer patients. It was established in 1980.

More and 200 children with medical issues enjoyed last year’s Camp Cavett held during July at Lake Texoma. It is the longest-running Foundation camp to date.

The Cavett Foundation “Heart Camp” for children age 14-18 with heart conditions was established in 2011 and held each June in New Mexico.

Cavett Camps – Where illness doesn’t define the child

With the proven slogan “Where illness does not define the child”, children who face medical struggles have a place where they can feel like they belong, thanks to the work Canton native Danny Cavett.
